Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is the most classical form of Yoga and taught as a holistic (whole person) practice. Ha means Sun & Tha means Moon - the aim being to work with opposites, learning how to create a more balanced person. 

What's included in Hatha Yoga Classes? 
  • typically classes are slow paced,
  • they explore the broad subject of Yoga, which is more than the poses, 
  • some classes also include Chair Yoga which means there are options to use a chair instead of sitting or lying on the floor, and to use the chair for support eg in a balance pose, 
  • settling time at the start of the class, some warming up movements, leading to standing and seated poses, and ALWAYS a lengthy, guided relaxation at the end of each class, 
  • sometimes Yoga breathing techniques (called Pranayama), or philosophy, or meditation

Class levels are described as Beginner, Gentle/Chair, Intermediate. 
  • Beginners is "from scratch" for anyone who has never been to a Yoga class before,
  • Gentle/Chair Yoga is slow paced, with do-able options, including the use of a chair, for clients who prefer not to, or can't, sit nor lie on the floor, or those who want a less physical class,
  • Intermediate includes a broad spectrum of options, including more strenuous ones and is best suited to those who have at least 6months regular Yoga practice. 

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a modern Yoga remedy for overwhelm, burn out and stress. Using rest and quiet to soothe and restore from the inside out. Typically only 3-5 poses per class, all of which use cushions, pillows and blankets under and around the body to provide support, meaning the body can rest.
