Hatha Yoga is the most classical form of Yoga and taught as a holistic (whole person) practice. Typically classes are slow paced, include settling time at the start of the class, warming up, poses, a theme or focus throughout the class, sometimes Pranayama (Yoga breathing practices), sometimes Meditation and ALWAYS a lengthy, guided relaxation at the end of each class.
Hatha Yoga Classes
Hatha Yoga classes are offered for different levels and abilities: Beginners/Gentle Level is perfect for those who’ve never tried Yoga before, or who are wanting to learn about Yoga “from scratch” and at a slow pace. Classes displayed as Mixed Ability can include Beginners. Experienced Level is suitable for those who’ve done some Yoga. All classes explore the broad spectrum of the subject of Yoga, which is much wider than the poses.
Restorative Yoga is a modern Yoga remedy for overwhelm, burn out and stress. Using rest and quiet to soothe and restore from the inside out. Typically only 3-5 poses per class, all of which use cushions, pillows and blankets under and around the body to provide support, meaning the body can rest.
